The first step of Da’wah is teaching the people the meaning oft
Lâ ilâha illa. Because if a person really understands the
meaning of these words and closes its in his heart, he will grow in
the Islâm and his Imân (belief) will grow. Because these words which
the Islâm have been founded; it represents the entity of Allâh
Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.
In a tale of the Sahâbah we read regarding their Imân (belief): On
the day of the battle of Uhud, when the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu
‘Alaihi Wa Sallam returned to Madînah, he heard that Abű Sufyan and
some of the Mushrikűn (Polytheist, pagans, idolaters and
disbelievers in the Oneness of Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and
His Messenger Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) were
planning to go to Madînah and to assassinate the Muslims there.
After the Salât (prayer) of Fajr the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu
‘Alaihi Wa Sallam gave a command to Bilal Radi-Allahu 'anhu
to proclaim the call to Jihâd (fighting for Allâh’s
Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala case). Only those who fought that day (i.e.
battle of Uhud), were called up again to go along to fight the
Mushrikűn. Said Ibn Mu`adh Radi-Allahu 'anhu went back to his
house and told his family that Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu
‘Alaihi Wa Sallam had ordered him to fight again. Usaid Ibn Khidr
Radi-Allahu 'anhu said: all duty is for Muhammad Sallallahu
‘Alaihi Wa Sallam. During the fighting the previous day he had
incurred seven wounds. When he was busy treating his wounds, he
heard the call of Jihad and stood up directly. Said Ibn Mu`adh
Radi-Allahu 'anhu left with his family as well as Abű Qatadah
and forty other members of Banî Salam âh (tribe) for the Jihad. All
of them were injured. At-Tufail Ibn An-Nu ‘man was one of them, he
had thirteen wounds, when Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa
Sallam saw them, he said: “O Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala,
all Rahma (mercy) to them”.
The Imân (belief) of those Muslims showed what a truth Imân is. This
is real, truthful and loving, drawer ilâha illa Ilâh Allâh
Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. It were the wounded Muslims, however they
stood up directly after the call for the Jihâd, ready to leave,
irrespective of the wounds and the pain which they suffered.
We must do our duties and Amânah (responsibility)
of carrying out what Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala has ordered
us. And we must think about the day that we have to stand for the
supreme. The day for which we cannot escape or hide and on which
Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala will ask us everything concerning
everyone small detail. And Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala knows
the bests and Allâh Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala will talk directly to
us without a translator.
