An-Nawawi's Hadīth:
Jumada Al-Awwal 14,  1429 AH

An-Nawawi's Hadīth is written by Al Imam Abu Zakariyā Yahyā bin Sharaf An-Nawawi Ad-Dimashqi.

This work establishes points which can be derived from the Hadīth and do not attempt to go into explanations. A lot can probably be said concerning each point outlined by bringing in other Hadīth, Ayāt from the Qur'ān Al Kareem and even sayings of the companions, their successors and scholars of various times, but that is not the aim of this exercise but to give the reader an insight into what is already clear in the Hadīth and to encourage him to accept what he learns uncompromisingly.

Later study of further Islāmic material will gradually add to his comprehension and conviction as well as fill in the details In Shaa Allāh, but it is essential that he does not neglect what e has found since he knows it to be from the teachings of the Messenger Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam and thus undeniably correct. Hadīth Qudsi:
Jumada Al-Awwal 24,  1429 AH

Hadīth Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam as revealed to him by the Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Hadīth Qudsi (or Sacred Hadīth) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadīth which are Prophetic Hadīth, their authority (Sanad) is traced back not to the Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam but to Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Among the many definitions given by the early scholars to Sacred Hadīth is that of as Sayyid Ash Sharif Al Jurjani in his lexicon At Tarifat where he says: "A Sacred Hadīth is, as to the meaning, from Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala; as to the wording, it is from the messenger of Allāh Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam. It is that which Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala has communicated to His Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam through revelation or in dream, and he, Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam, has communicated it in his own words. Thus Qur'ān Al Kareem is superior to it because, besides being revealed, it is His wording."
