Ibn Taimiyah:
Added on Jumada Al-Awwal 9,  1429 AH

The truth had been mixed with falsehood, the insight had been confused with ignorance, and As-Sunnah had been defeated by Al-Bid'ah. The Muslims were wandering in the matters of their beliefs. Their strength had been enfeebled by the fighting amongst those with astray scholastic opinions, and their personalities had been weakened by straying away from their Deen.

The Muslims found their way into illusions and heresies and considered all of that as part of Ad-Deen. They were an easy prey for the external transgressing invaders, At-Tatar, and the internal oppressing tyrants and their scholastic agents Click here To Read More Of This Article...

Imān an-Nawawi:
Added on Jumada Al-Awwal 9,  1429 AH

It is important for Muslims to take the time to learn about the lives of the pious predecessors. The great scholars and pious individuals of the past can be great examples for the living. Their behaviour and actions can have a great effect upon the hearts. Their examples demonstrate that in every age, there were pious Muslims who followed the way of the Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam and his noble Companions, without compromise and without giving into the desires of this world. They demonstrate to the Muslims of today that the guidance of the Qur'ān Al Kareem and Hadīth was sufficient for them to lead their lives in manners pleasing to Allāh Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, although they did not sit with and learn directly from the Prophet Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam or even his close companions.
